The
general and financial information is used to project potential cost savings
to the facility if waste is segregated into their appropriate streams. The information that first appears is information you entered before
starting your survey. 1. PLEASE NOTE: It is important to verify the spelling and numbers at this point because the information here will appear in your report. 2. Do not use commas or extra spaces when entering numbers. Decimals can be used if needed. 3. You must determine the % of contamination observed while performing the hospital survey. What is the total percentage of regulated medical waste that can be diverted into the solid or recycling waste streams? 30% - 40% - 50%? How much of this can be obtained in year 1? Year 2? Year 3? 4. When you get to “RECYCLING INFO” click on “PERCENTAGE” to calculate what percentage the hospital is currently recycling at. This will assist you in determining how much of an increase you can suggest. Does the hospital have any recycling goals? If you do not forecast any increase in recycling, carry forward the recycling percentage in each year. 5. When you are finished entering all the numbers, click on calculate in the financial summary section, to calculate all the gray areas. You can recalculate as many times as needed. 6. Click on “SAVE” to record all the changes. 7. Click on “VIEW REPORT” to view and edit your report. |
